PayNways at MEBIS 2026
Exploring AI, GenAI, Intelligent Automation and the next evolution of banking at MEBIS 2026, Dubai
The future of banking is moving quickly — from digital transformation and real-time payments to Generative AI, intelligent automation and Agentic AI.
At MEBIS 2026 in Dubai, PayNways joined banking and technology leaders for two days of conversations around one central question:
MEBIS 2026 brought together senior banking executives, technology leaders and innovators to explore the technologies and strategies shaping the future of financial services.
One of the highlights for PayNways was the opportunity for our CTO, Arvind Kaushal, to take the stage for a session on:
“AI, GenAI and Intelligent Automation in Middle East Banking”
The discussion looked beyond the current excitement around AI to a more fundamental question:
How can banks turn rapidly evolving AI capabilities into meaningful, enterprise-wide outcomes?
The opportunity is therefore not simply to deploy another AI model. It is to connect the existing ecosystem in a way that allows intelligence to move across the organisation.
The banking technology landscape is no longer a single platform. It is a collection of interconnected pieces — core banking, payments, customer experience, data, risk, compliance, treasury, fintech ecosystems and digital channels.
AI introduces another powerful piece into this landscape. But AI by itself does not solve the underlying complexity.
For AI to create meaningful outcomes, banks need the right data, context, connectivity, orchestration, governance and execution capabilities around it.
The Banking Jigsaw — connecting the pieces of modern banking intelligently.Tap any piece to see intelligence move from it.
The evolution of banking technology has been continuous.
Each stage has expanded what technology can do. Today, the conversation is moving from AI that assists people towards AI that can increasingly understand context, orchestrate workflows and execute defined actions.
This creates opportunities across banking — from customer experience and operations to payments, fraud, risk, compliance and decision-making.
The conversations at MEBIS reinforced the pace at which banking innovation is progressing across the Middle East.
For PayNways, these are particularly relevant areas as we continue working with financial institutions on the infrastructure, payments and technology capabilities required for modern banking.
For us, MEBIS was not just about the presentation. It was equally about the conversations before and after it — meeting banking leaders, technology teams and industry peers, understanding the challenges institutions are facing and exchanging perspectives on where the industry is heading.
These conversations are particularly valuable because every bank is at a different point in its transformation journey.

The common thread is the need to make these investments work together.
The next phase of banking transformation will not be defined by a single technology. It will be defined by how intelligently the different technologies, platforms, data and processes work together.
At PayNways, we believe this is where the opportunity lies — helping financial institutions simplify complexity, connect the pieces and build payment and banking infrastructure that is ready for what comes next.
The future of banking isn't about adding more pieces. It's about connecting them intelligently.
